Dirty Jobs, Clean Jeeps
How to Detail Your Rig Like You’re Headed to the Oscars, but With More Mud in Your Hair
Saturday, October 11th - Jeep Show & Shine, Live Music, and a Bigger Mission
Let’s be honest. The only thing Jeep folks love more than hitting the trail is scrubbing off the evidence when a trophy is on the line. That’s right. The Show & Shine is back, and this year it’s not just about fenders so spotless they could perform surgery. It’s about doing some good while looking even better.
Registration is free. Two limited-edition shirts come with it. And it’s capped at 75 rigs. So if you’ve been looking for a reason to evict the fossilized Taco Bell napkins from your center console, here it is.
How to Wash Your Jeep Without Starting a Domestic Dispute
Step 1: Remove 40 pounds of gravel from the floorboards.
Use a shop vac, a leaf blower, or just tell your kids it’s a treasure hunt.
Step 2: Pre-rinse like you’re scrubbing forensics off a crime scene.
High-pressure hose or pressure washer works best. Yell "Clear!" for dramatic effect.
Step 3: Foam it up like you mean it.
Use actual car soap. Not dish detergent. Unless you want your Jeep smelling like lemon casserole.
Step 4: Show your wheels some love.
Tire shine makes all the difference. Go easy, though. If they reflect your garage lights back at you like a tanning mirror, you've gone too far.
Step 5: Attack the interior.
Use wipes. Use a flamethrower. Just get those cup holders looking like someone respectable might see them.
Step 6: Clean the glass. Really clean it.
If it still looks like your windshield has been through a locust migration, try again.
Behind the Shine: A Cause Worth More Than Clearcoat
Bonnie’s Bus mobile mammography unit, providing life-saving breast cancer screenings across rural communities in West Virginia.
This isn’t just about looking good in parking lot lights. It’s about supporting early breast cancer detection and celebrating strength.
Camden Clark Medical Center will be on site with their Mobile Mammogram Unit and a booth filled with breast cancer awareness resources. They’re helping bring vital screenings and support services directly to our community. The pink may be on shirts and decals, but the message runs deep.
Off Camber, On Mission
The crew from Off Camber Jeep Club is stepping up in a big way-handling both food and parking logistics for the event. And let’s be honest, that’s no easy task when you’re dealing with a lineup of Jeeps that collectively refuse to acknowledge the existence of parallel parking. These aren’t sedans, they're rigs with lift kits, winches, oversized tires, and personalities as big as their owners.
But that’s the beauty of the Jeep community.
When something needs done, they don’t ask who’s in charge. They just show up. Whether it’s flipping burgers, flagging in rigs, or setting up cones to wrangle the parking chaos, they roll up their sleeves and dive in. It’s not about credit—it’s about community.
That’s what Jeep life is all about.
Showing up. Pitching in. Making it happen.
So, What Are You Waiting For?
Even if your rig smells like a wet retriever and looks like it lost a battle with a briar patch, this is your chance to shine. Literally. Hose it off or show up dirty, either way, bring your pride.
Whether you’re deep in the Jeep scene with a club patch on your sleeve, or just rolling solo with mud in your soul, you’re invited. No gatekeeping. No judgment. Just Jeeps, good people, and a good cause.
